Terms And Conditions

1. Customer Conduct

All customers must behave in a safe, responsible, and respectful manner toward staff, other passengers, and company property. Alcohol is permitted on board; however, responsible consumption is mandatory.

The skipper retains full authority to terminate a charter without a refund if any customer engages in unsafe, disorderly, or disruptive behaviour. A safety briefing will be conducted prior to departure, and all passengers must comply with the instructions provided.

All fishing tackle and lures are supplied on a pay‑if‑lost or damaged basis.

2. Shared Day Bookings

Customers may be reassigned to an alternative vessel due to exclusive bookings, staffing requirements, mechanical issues, or weather conditions. Such reassignment does not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.

3. Weather Conditions

All charters are subject to suitable weather conditions, as determined solely at the discretion of the skipper.

If conditions are unsuitable for the originally selected style of fishing, the charter will proceed using an alternative method deemed safe and appropriate.

Innkeeper Sport Fishing reserves the right to transfer customers to another vessel or cancel a trip due to adverse weather. In such cases, the cancellation provisions below apply.

4. Payment Terms

Shared Day Charters: Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Exclusive Charters: A 30% deposit is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the charter date.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

5.1 Cancellations by Innkeeper Sport Fishing

If a charter is cancelled due to weather, mechanical issues, or operational requirements, customers will be offered one of the following options:

A rescheduled charter date.

Transfer to another suitable vessel.

If neither option can be reasonably provided, a full refund of the amount paid will be issued.

5.2 Cancellations by Clients

More than 30 days’ notice: A refund of 50% of the amount paid will be issued.

Less than 30 days’ notice: No refund or transfer will be provided.

No Show: Failure to attend the charter will result in no refund or transfer.

5.3 Pandemic Travel Restrictions

In the event that government‑mandated pandemic or public‑health travel restrictions prevent clients from attending their charter, no refund will be issued. A charter credit equal to the amount paid will be applied to the client’s account and will remain valid for 12 months from the original booking date.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they are aware of all travel, health, and entry requirements applicable at the time of their charter. Innkeeper Sport Fishing accepts no liability for losses arising from a client’s inability to travel due to vaccination requirements, testing requirements, isolation rules, border closures, or any other government‑imposed restrictions.

5.4 Cyclone‑Related Cancellations

In the event that a charter cannot proceed due to cyclone activity, cyclone warnings, or cyclone‑related safety concerns, no refund will be issued. A charter credit equal to the amount paid will be applied to the client’s account and will remain valid for 12 months from the original booking date.

Innkeeper Sport Fishing reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify any charter where cyclone conditions or associated weather patterns present a risk to passenger safety, vessel safety, or operational capability. The skipper’s decision is final.

Clients acknowledge that cyclone activity is a known seasonal risk in the region and accept full responsibility for any travel arrangements, accommodation bookings, or associated costs affected by cyclone‑related disruptions.

6. Liability

By booking a charter with Innkeeper Sport Fishing, the client acknowledges and agrees that participation in marine and fishing activities carries inherent risks. Innkeeper Sport Fishing is not liable for any loss, damage, or additional expenses arising from delays, cancellations, weather conditions, mechanical issues, or any other circumstances beyond the company’s control.

Any loss or damage to vessels, equipment, or tackle caused by client negligence will be charged to the client at the full cost of repair or replacement.

Clients are strongly encouraged to obtain personal travel insurance to cover unforeseen events, cancellations, medical expenses, and personal property.
